Love is All Around Us in PreK 3!
February 1st-5th
What We Accomplished:
- Decorated our very own snowman with shapes
- Discuss Groundhog Day and what predictions and shadows are
- Played with flashlights to make shadows
- Made brownies for Service Day
- Enjoyed a popcorn treat for Student Appreciation Day
- Celebrated our 100th Day of School with a special “100” snack, made necklaces out of 100 Fruit Loops, guessed which jar had 100 items in it, and received a “100 Days Smarter” certificate
- Made a list of 100 things we LOVE!
What We’re Working On:
- Make Valentine People
- Learn about the Post Office and what a letter looks like
- Receive a letter each morning from someone special
- Write a giant postcard
- Make our very own stamps
- Use heart sponge stamps with paint on paper
- Write Valentines to soldiers
- Watch and see if our white flower turns pink or red if it stays in red water at our science table
- Work to earn our manners badges
- Have a Valentine’s Day party!
- Margaret is our star of the week!
