Oba William King, The Story Teller,
visited us as a preview to The Story Bus, at school on Feb. 23.
Look what we've learned:
We continue to learn about opposites - Wet/dry, little/big, down/up..
We continue to focus on writing simple sentences. We also mix up words and put them in order so the sentence makes sense.
We learned about the groundhog and its many characteristics: how one looks, lives, eats and what happens if it sees its shadow. (Six more weeks of winter.)
We continue to learn about coin recognition, starting to add numbers, as well as counting by 5's and 10's.
Thank you parents for the items you gave to the needy and homeless.

Check with your child if he/she needs new school supplies.
Now that the cold weather is here, please practice zippering coats and putting on boots with your child
Come be a Mystery Reader in the library. This is a fun exciting surprise we do for the children. Please let Mrs. Wiederkehr know if you would like to read a story to your child's library class.
