St. Matthias Transfiguration School has open enrollment.  Students may register throughout the year in classes where there are openings. Class sizes are limited to 20 students in the preschool with a 1:10 teacher to student ratio with an aid and lead teacher in each class.  In grades K-8 classes are capped at 25 students.

Preschool children must be 3 or 4 years-old by Sept. 1 of the year they enter the school.

All preschoolers must be potty trained and able to manage their clothes independently.

St. Matthias offers several preschool options:

3-Year-Old -  3 days half day (T,W,Th) 7:50 am to 11:40 am or 3 days full day (T,W,Th) 7:50 am to 2:40 pm.

                       5 days half day (M-F) 7:50 am to 11:40 am or 5 days full day (M-F) 7:50 am to 2:40 pm

4-Year-Old - 3 days half day (T,W,Th) 7:50 am to 11:40 am or 3 days full day (T,W,Th) 7:50 am to 2:40 pm

                      5 days half day (M-F) 7:50 am to 2:40 pm or 5 days full day (M-F) 7:50 am to 2:40 pm

Tuition numbers will be available after Feb. 1, 2010, when the school 2010-2011 budget is set.  Before and After Care is available for an additional fee.  Before Care begins at 6:30am, After Care ends at 6pm.

Erollment for the 2009-2010 Early Childhood Programs begins Oct. 15, 2009, when application letters are sent to families who have indicated their interest by completing a Prospective Family Information Form by phone or in person.   Applications must be returned with a $25 fee by November 1, 2010.

Spaces for the classes will be assigned based on the date the applications were received, giving priority to siblings and parishioners of St. Matthias Church, Our Lady of Mercy Church and Transfiguration of Our Lord Church. 

Families will be informed as to their place in the preschool or on the waiting list by Dec. 15, 2009.

After Dec. 15, 2009 any open spaces in the Preschool will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

To complete the Preschool Registration, families who have been selected for a place in the class must pay a $250 registration fee by February 19, 2010 to guarantee their place. 

Should a family not register for the class, an offer to register will be made to the first family on the waiting list and continue through the waiting list until the opening is filled.

If families are not placed in the Preschool Class, they may remain on the waiting list for the next year without having to pay a second application fee.

For Kindergarten, applications will be accepted beginning Oct. 15.  Applicants will be placed on a waiting list for Kindergarten 2010-2011.  Applicants will be informed as to their place in the class after current students register in April, 2010.

Prospective transfer students and their parents or guardians must meet with the Principal and bring past report cards to be considered for admission.
