Letter from the Administrator and Principal
Dear Parents and Guardians,
St. Matthias Transfiguration School is a leader in using technology to ensure students and faculty maximize the development of 21st Century skills. Each 6th, 7th and 8th grade student and all teachers are assigned individual laptop computers to facilitate integrated, project based learning. Students and faculty can utilize computers throughout our wireless school as well as in our computer lab. As a result, our students learn to be creative, collaborative problem solvers and critical thinkers.
Our younger students benefit from a developmentally appropriate, individualized, hands-on curriculum. A balanced literacy program ensures that each child progresses at her/his own pace and level. Outside the school, they enjoy playground facilities appropriate for younger students.
Our enhanced curriculum allows for enrichment opportunities for ALL students.
St. Matthias Transfiguration School is committed to helping children build a strong sense of community, both academic and spiritual. The academic and extra-curricular programs stress the importance of meeting the needs of diverse learners. Although we are a Catholic school, we help our children from all faith backgrounds develop morals, principles and values for life.
We look forward to working in partnership with you to provide your child with the best education possible.
Sincerely,
